Full Moon in Virgo

Writer: Kristen BaureisKristen Baureis

This weekend, we have a full moon in the earth sign Virgo. Known as the Goddess of the zodiac, Virgo represents freedom, independence, and inner strength. This particular energy is grounding, calming, steady, and soft. We are transitioning into spring, and are encouraged to create and maintain a steady foundation for the next season of our lives. This requires planning and strategizing our future, and getting clear on the steps we need to take to reach our goals.

This sign also embodies the medicine woman archetype, as she supports us in tapping into our healing power. Our shadow side may rise to the surface, but Virgo helps us connect back to our bodies so we can heal from within and move forward with grace, confidence, and strength. I invite you to pay attention to your body's signals during this time. What are they telling you? How are you reacting to your environment? Are you more in a state of flow, or state of resistance? Check in with yourself and bring awareness to your blocks. Are they more air (anxiety/fear), fire (burnout/anger/insecurity), water (overly emotional/poor boundaries) or earth (stagnant/attached/lethargic) based? How can you shift this block into a positive frequency? Tune into your body's wisdom and work with the elements to restore balance in your heart, mind, and spirit.

I personally feel a little resistance in regards to this next chapter, but only because it's unfamiliar! Lots of change is in the air, which is both exciting and a little scary...but I am embracing this structured earth energy with full force. I even took a big adult step and purchased a cool planner and some sweet metallic gel pens so I can stay organized in a fun and aesthetically pleasing way (I guess that's the Leo/Libra in me?).

To go a step further and really connect to the moon, my friends and I did Forever Conscious's Virgo Full Moon Ritual Friday evening, and it was one of my favorite rituals I've been a part of.

We each had a jar of water, a quartz, and three different flowers that represented our past, present, and future. We used calendula for what we wanted to release in the past, rose for guidance and support in our present life, and blue lotus for what we wanted to manifest in the future. With each intention, we dropped a flower in the jar, followed by the quartz to amplify the vibes. We finished the evening sipping on tulsi tea! So(ul) nourishing. It was a beautiful night connecting with the plants and my sisters under the moonlight. 10/10 recommend this ritual! There is a bit more to the process so check it out for when you feel called :)

I don't always go all out on moon rituals, but I feel so much more connected when I do. It keeps me both grounded and in touch with my intuition, which are equally important on this human journey!
